Leavers Assembly 1A) "Perseverance" STORY VERSION

This first assembly is designed to be delivered by one teacher / headteacher / adult on his / her own. The introduction gets the children thinking about the many types of sports, games and races that there are in the world, culminating in the thought that if you want to excel in any one of them then you need to develop perseverance. To explain what perseverance means, the assembly then moves on to a story... a wacky tale of two twin brothers who have a skateboard race from London to Paris! Finally the assembly is summed up with optional readings from the bible and a prayer, encouraging the children to succeed in life through perseverance.

Leavers Assembly 1B) "Perseverance" SCRIPTED VERSION

This leavers assembly is identical to the one above, but it has been reformatted so that it can be presented / acted by as many children as you want.

Leavers Assembly 2) "Heroes"

This leavers assembly has been designed to be delivered by a class of children, but it can also easily be presented by one teacher / headteacher / adult on his / her own. The introduction asks the children to think about their sporting heroes. It then moves on to a discussion of the meaning of the word hero and in particular talks about the way the word is sometimes misused when it's applied to someone just because they're rich or famous. Next, in order to appreciate what a true hero really is, two real life stories are told of the selfless acts of two people who bravely save the lives of others. Finally, the summary asks the pupils to think about who their own personal real life heroes should be: i.e. family, friends, teachers, important community members, etc... It encourages the children to think about aspiring to be like these people instead of simply aspiring to be like the rich and famous. It then closes with an optional prayer.

TIMING: We are often asked about the length of our assembly presentations and the truth is that due to the included editable scripts, they're VERY flexible. If you stick exactly to the scripts, then assemblies 1A and 1B will probably take 30-40 mins. Assembly 2 will probably take around 20 mins. However, with the editable scripts you can very easily shorten or lenghten these times in any way you want.

IS IT RELIGIOUS? So many times we're asked by customers if our products are religious or not? The answer in this case is both! None of the songs have religious references. A few of the included assembly scripts do have religious references as part of their closing summaries, but you can easily use the included editable scripts to remove these references if absolutely necessary. Therefore, we believe that there is something here to suit everyone.

PARTS: The included playscript has main acting parts for just 2 children with small walk on parts for a number of others and a very large number of narrators parts. The remainder of the assembly scripts have further parts which can be read out by dozens more children.

Just get your order details to us via website / fax / email / phone / post (details here), simply tells us the products you require along with your contact details and we’ll send your goods straight out with a 30 day invoice. No credit checks. Purchase orders are very welcome but not necessary. You are also welcome to provide an order number which will be referenced on your invoice, but again this isn’t necessary from our end.

FOR SPEED: We recommend that schools order via our website using the 'Add to basket' function above. Complete your details and then on the payment page, just select the 'invoice' method of payment. You will find a text box below in which you can add a purchase order number if required. A printable version of your invoice will then be displayed on the next page. NEXT WORKING DAY DELIVERY - UK ONLY (£7.50): The option for UK customers to have their order delivered via "Next Day Delivery" is available for phone orders only on 0844 357 8473. However during times of heavy demand we reserve the right to withdraw this service without notice. Orders via Next Day Delivery must be placed before 2PM.

OVERSEAS [NON-UK] DELIVERY (£7.99) : OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS ARE ADVISED TO READ ALL THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE BUYING FROM US:

1) PAYMENT: We ONLY accept overseas orders from customers who purchase goods using a credit / debit card or via paypal. Our Invoicing system is not available for use by overseas customers.

2) CURRENCY: On the checkout page you can change the currency to display the checkout total in one of six main currencies. Please don’t be put off if your currency isn’t displayed, as in many circumstances it is possible that your transaction can still be processed (paypal method of payment is recommended). Our credit card processing provider will automatically convert your currency into British Pounds Sterling upon placing your order.

3) DELIVERY CHARGE: If you have ordered physical goods for delivery, £7.99 will be added to your order for delivery costs. Downloadable products / licences have no delivery charge.

4) DELIVERY TIMES: Your order will normally be dispatched within 24 hours (except at weekends / public holidays) and will usually take 5 days at the most to reach you.
