"A beautiful performance, which was incredibly easy to stage"

This school musical production is ideal for any leavers’ assembly, but equally suitable all year round. The performance consists of six songs and two pieces of music to dance to. One song contains an optional three part harmony. The songs are linked together by simple readings from narrator/s, making it very easy to stage. Backing tracks are included so there’s no need for a pianist. With added extras like PowerPoint lyrics, printable sheet music and more, you have all you need a for a fantastic children’s musical.

The Flight Of The Songbirds – SCRIPT SAMPLE 

Several narrators parts, 1 main solo part, between 12 and 90+ additional walk on / dancing parts (depending on the size of your stage!)

If you stick exactly to the script then the musical is roughly 25 minutes long. However this can easily be shortened by approx.10 minutes, or lengthened by up to another 20 minutes. Suggestions for how to do this are included in the detailed ‘Production Notes’ which you will receive.

 So many times we’re asked by customers if our products are religious or not? The answer in this case is no, there are zero religious references in this publication.

We know from experience that it’s possible to teach this performance to a group of children in just a week or so. Please note this is not a guarantee. Please listen to the songs and view the script before deciding how much rehearsal time your pupils will require.

BEAUTIFUL

"This is a beautiful performance, which was incredibly easy to stage for our end of year production. In truth there is very little to it. No long script, no big parts for the children to learn (which was actually a godsend during these busy months), just a few catchy, clever songs with easy but effective harmony lines. For the two pieces of "music to dance to" we just had the children moving around the stage in a 'V' formation, with arms 'flying' up and down at the same time as each other, nothing special, but it still looked great. Very easy to learn and perform. The only slight difficulty we had was with costumes, but once we'd worked out a simple way of doing bird costumes we were fine. Each child wore a simple half mask, with a downward pointing triangle for a beak, with coloured capes, tied round their necks and wrists. In the end, many parents and colleagues said they'd never seen a performance like it and were very complimentary. The Flight of the Songbirds is a very original idea, which I would gladly recommend."
